Cisco training available in the Channel Islands for the first time
PRESS RELEASE

CISCO TRAINING AVAILABLE IN THE CHANNEL ISLANDS
Comtrain has become the Channel Islands’ first authorised training partner for telecommunications giant Cisco. This is particularly significant as Cisco equipment is used in the majority of companies, providing their IT infrastructure.
The telecommunications training company, which recently launched in both Jersey and Guernsey, has negotiated a landmark deal with Cisco - the world’s largest provider of telecommunications equipment - which will help businesses cut the cost of their training.
Comtrain can offer training on the entire range of Cisco products and certifications, as well as specialisation tracks, covering technologies such as wireless, IP telephony, security, unified communications and much more.
Gordon Porter, sales director of Comtrain, explains: "This is great news for the many local companies who have invested in Cisco infrastructure and IP telephony solutions and who can now access this training locally, rather than having the additional expense of travelling to the UK."
In addition to providing authorised Cisco training in the Channel Islands, Comtrain instructors were recently selected to provide sales training to Cisco’s worldwide partner community on Cisco’s unified communications and convergence solutions.
In addition to the Cisco-specific training, Comtrain specialises in voice, data, mobile, wireless and internet technologies. The company provides sales and technical training on the technology and the equipment and its courses are ideal for engineers, support staff and sales personnel.
Comtrain also provides a range of technology briefs and executive overviews which explain the technology in a light, informative way. These are designed for non-technical personnel who only need an overview, such as a recruitment company or a law firm needing to understand a client’s industry.
