Over the last 25 years, many supplementary specifications (RFCs) have appeared for TCP, some of which modify and adapt the protocol to operate within wireless networks. This course looks at the ongoing work being done to improve the performance and operation of TCP within wireless networks. The course starts by looking at where TCP is today, including all the undocumented but common features of TCP, and defines the problem from both the wireless and the TCP perspective, before then looking at the various solutions proposed.
