This intensive course covers all aspects of the OmniSwitch 9700 and OmniSwitch 6800, including basic switch configuration and maintenance as well as advanced routing and network management. The switching portion of the course covers the concepts needed to configure, monitor and tune network performance and scalability through switching, routing, security, VLANs. The advanced IP portion of this course covers the following IP routing protocols: RIP, RIP II, OSPF, VRRP, and BGP. Multicast routing using IGMP, DVMRP, PIM-SM is also covered. The network management portion of the course covers OmniVista and looks at operation of the OmniVista Server, Extended Network Services, Installation and Login, AutoDiscovery, Topology and Notifications, Statistics and Health Audit and Security, Application Groups and policy based management with PolicyView QoS (OneTouch, Voice, Data & Expert).
