This course provides an in-depth overview of how Ethernet is used to provide Metropolitan Area Networks. The course looks at many aspects of Metro Ethernet technologies including the Ethernet in the First Mile work of the IEEE, Passive Optical Networks and the work of the Metro Ethernet Forum. A brief overview of Ethernet is also included as the course has no pre-requisites.
