This course examines this whole area of SS7 and IP integration, and provides and in-depth overview of relevant protocols such as SCTP, SIGTRAN and MEGACO. The course starts by explaining the position and importance of SS7, its architecture and principles with special regard to ISUP. The Intelligent Network, an important application of SS7, is also briefly discussed, before integration issues and protocols are described.
