This one day course looks at the operation of EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution), an upgrade of the radio interface of GPRS that in effect, trebles its data throughput. The course starts by briefly reviewing data across GSM networks, before then introducing GPRS and then looking at how the GPRS radio interface is upgraded to provide EDGE capability.
